UHPA General Conditions for Organization of Trips and Tours
UHPA General Conditions for Organization of Trips and Tours

Foreign tour operators and their clients or individual travellers who buy package holidays directly from Croatian tour operators are protected in Croatia in a way similar to the one practiced in the EU countries because the Croatian Law on Travel Related Services, that regulates the activities of Croatian travel agencies and tour operators, includes the EU Council’s directives on package travel, package holidays and package tours.

When a foreign traveller buys a service from a Croatian tour operator or retailer agency directly, they are obliged to advise the client on a detailed programme and give a travel description and conditions under which a travel is to be organized before a contract on travel is signed. Those printed conditions define the rights and the obligations of both parties, the traveller’s as well as the agent’s. Members of UHPA, when they join the association, oblige themselves not to apply more restrictive conditions for the traveller, or shorter deadlines in case of cancellations than those set by UHPA. In this way travellers are additionally protected.

If UHPA members use standard text of UHPA General Terms and Conditions for organization of trips and tours, they are to state, in a brochure or in a leaflet, that they apply them and will also specify possible differences.

Detailed UHPA General Terms and Conditions can be obtained upon request from the UHPA Head office. Experts from UHPA office will also explain to you all other aspects of conditions and travel descriptions, etc.
