UHPA, the Association of Croatian Travel Agents (later changed to Agencies),
was founded in 1992. UHPA is a natural progression of the first bureau established
in Zagreb in 1911 to handle accommodation for foreign visitors then known as the
Association for International Passenger Traffic in Croatia and Slavonia.
In 1923, the first travel agencies were established in Zagreb, Dubrovnik and Split.
