The Association
UHPA - the trade and the employers’ associations UHPA - Association of Croatian travel
agencies promotes the professional qualities of travel agencies and customer protection
at the same time. UHPA harmonizes, represents and promotes interests of legal entities
in the operations of travel agencies pursuant to the provisions of the Statute and programme
of work, adopted by the members at the annual General assembly meeting, in accordance with the legal
regulations of the Republic of Croatia, international Codes of practice on hotel/travel agency
relations and conventions and the principles of a legal state. UHPA logo, as a sign of quality
is used only by reliable agencies and other providers of tourist services.
UHPA, as a voluntary trade association was established in 1992. UHPA is also established as the employers’
association which negotiates the working and social conditions as well as basic salaries of all employees in
the Croatian travel agencies with the Tourism and Service Trade Union of Croatia.
UHPA is both a voluntary trade association and an association of employers. Only the active members of
UHPA (Croatian tour operators and retailers) can be members of the employers’ association. Each association
is an independent legal entity, though the bodies and logo of the UHPA professional association are identical
to the bodies and logo of the UHPA employers’ association. The UHPA professional office also works for the
UHPA employers’ association.
