About the Association
UHPA is voluntary national trade association of Croatian travel agencies, registered also as an employers´ association.
Our 177 regular (active) members - travel agencies (tour operators and retailers) meet all operations criteria regulated by the
Law on Travel Related Services, which includes EU Council Directive 90/314/EEC on package travel, package holidays and package tours
and also meet additional criteria for membership. Together with 36 associate members (foreign tour operators, leading hotel
enterprises, national airline. rent-a-car companies, credit and debit card issuing companies, tourist boards, Croatian and foreign
associations, etc) our members have a total of 418 business units in Croatia and abroad and realize between 80 and 90 percent of
Croatian organized turnover.
Bound to the implementation of UHPA´s conditions for membership, we can assure you that our members will surpass your expectations
and provide more than adequate service quality and value for your money.
Abiding of UHPA´s Professional and ethical code on the protection of users and suppliers and prevention of unfair competition,
agreeing to UHPA´s arbitration in case of disputes with the clients and agreeing to UHPA´s conditions for organisations of trips
and tours, our members provide additional protection and confidence to their partners and clients in relation to those already
provided by the Law on Travel Related Services. The texts in this database clarify all legal provisions concerning the establishment
and operation which are binding for all agencies, and inform you about UHPA activities.

DEAR TRAVELLER,
Since its establishment in 1992, together with other activities, UHPA provides information on the offers of members, and since 1996,
it has presented them on its web site, the first of its kind on the Internet in Europe. In this way, when it best suites you,
you can find offers of vacation packages, excursions, accommodation, rent-a-car, yacht and sailboat rental, and information about
other services of Croatian travel agencies, and can contact them on their web sites. If some of these offers suit you, you can buy
them either directly from the agencies located in Croatia or, with already organised travel from your country, from the travel agent
located in your country and specialized in selling packages in Croatia (if they are associate members of our association).
In order to protect you in your operation with the agencies you do not know (but you can be sure they are more reliable than other
agencies in Croatia because they are affiliated to our association), we are including texts on legal obligations of service providers.
Do not hesitate to contact our office for all further information, by e-mail and phone,
from Monday to Friday, between 8,30 and 16,30. You will immediately get information in several world languages. As you know,
the Internet is a valuable source of information, but it can answer the exact question only - it cannot guess what you would like
or would you suit the best.
